Basement and Foundation
Below-grade elements meet water constantly and from one direction. Hydrostatic pressure pushes against the waterproofing from outside in, which is why surface-level fixes fail quickly.
Wherever possible the waterproofing goes on the positive side — the face the water reaches first — with a two-component cement-based system outside the retaining wall.
Where an existing structure gives no access to the outer face, capillary crystalline products take over. They form crystals in the concrete's capillary voids and stop water inside the section itself, making them one of the few solutions that work from the negative side.
If water is actively running, the flow is first stopped with a rapid-set plug, and the permanent system applied afterwards.
