Fire-Resistance Solutions
Fire-retardant paint and impregnation systems

Fire resistance is not about a material refusing to burn; it is about slowing flame spread to buy time for evacuation and intervention. The Anti-Fire products are formulated to form a protective layer that expands under heat on the surface they are applied to.
Anti-Fire Paint leaves a permanent film on the surface, while Anti-Fire Liquid works into the pores of the material by impregnation. On organic surfaces — timber structure, cladding and decorative elements — the two can be used together or separately.
Fire performance is a matter of system and applied thickness rather than a product property. The target resistance period must therefore be defined at the outset and consumption calculated against it.
Points to watch on site
- The target resistance period sets the required dry film thickness; under-application lowers performance directly.
- In impregnation the moisture content of the material affects absorption and therefore the result.
- Any paint or varnish applied over the system must not interfere with its intumescent behaviour.
