Industrial Flooring Systems
Curing compounds, surface hardeners and self-levelling screeds

What decides performance in an industrial floor is not the concrete class but what is done to the surface in the first 24 hours after pouring. A slab left without a curing compound will dust and craze whatever its strength.
The family therefore starts with curing: the Cure range stops the concrete losing mix water through the surface so hydration can complete. Sodium- and lithium-based hardeners then bind the free lime at the surface and raise abrasion resistance.
Self-levelling screeds and printed-concrete systems come in when an existing floor's level and texture have to be redefined. In warehouses, production plants and car parks the choice follows expected load and chemical exposure.
Points to watch on site
- Curing compound must go on as soon as the bleed water has gone; applied late it loses most of its effect.
- If a coating is to follow a surface hardener, compatibility has to be confirmed in advance.
- Skipping the primer under a self-levelling screed produces pinholes and delamination.
