Sustainability
For us sustainability is not a communications heading but a constraint that enters formulation, packaging and sourcing decisions.
How long the product lasts
The environmental impact of a construction chemical lies far more in how long its work holds than in its packaging. The difference between waterproofing renewed every ten years and waterproofing that lasts thirty is a gap no packaging optimisation can close.
We therefore treat durability as a sustainability criterion as much as a performance one. In product development the first question is how long the solution will do its job.
On the formulation side
In functional food and biotechnology, natural and additive-free formulation is set as a starting constraint of product development rather than a claim added afterwards.
Using in-vitro methods in cosmetic and nutraceutical raw-material work means safety assessment is carried out without animal testing.
Keeping production close
Having production, R&D and the analysis laboratory in one organisation reduces transport and intermediate stock. Samples and semi-finished goods not travelling between cities makes a measurable difference to both lead time and carbon.
