We run R&D not as an activity that begins and ends in the laboratory but as a loop with data flowing constantly between it and the field.
Three separate tracks
New product development, improvement of existing products and customer-specific formulation are three continuous tracks rather than stages waiting on one another.
In practice that means a customer request does not queue behind new product development, and a weakness in an existing product's field performance is not sacrificed to the excitement of a new launch.
Data from the field
Every formulation is tested against the real conditions applicators meet on site: temperature swings, humidity, surface preparation and application speed. A product that performs well under laboratory conditions may not give the same result at +35 °C on a dusty substrate.
Field notes from the technical support team go straight back to R&D. How short that loop is, is the real determinant of development speed.
On the biotechnology side
Postbiotic ingredients and liposomal active systems represent the group's R&D investment in its high-value product range.
In liposomal technology the goal is not for the active to be present in the formulation but for it to stay stable and reach the intended layer. Development work is built on those two criteria.
